What I Am Working On
THE DREAM MACHINE
A Psychological Horror Novel
Kasper Jennings has spent a decade photographing other people's worst days. When he is offered the assignment of a lifetime—profiling Finn Talbot, the reclusive tech founder behind HOPE, a dream-interface app used by forty million people—he tells himself it's just another job and nothing more.
It isn't.
At Talbot's isolated estate, Kasper is given a front-row seat to HOPE's next release: a system that doesn't just record dreams, but edits them. Six volunteer subjects. Six nightmares, engineered and observed. Kasper is only there to write it down.
But his own dreams have started changing. His own nights don't match his own notes. And somewhere in the gap between what he's documenting and what he's living, Kasper Jennings has stopped being the reporter—and started being the story.
A slow-burn psychological horror about surveillance, consent, and the horror of being studied without ever knowing you're the subject.
Status: Still writing.
